Do you want to know how to cultivate yourself, manage your family and live with good health, happiness and harmony? Do you want your nation’s leaders to govern with wisdom and integrity? All of these noble ambitions are the reason that The Governing Principles of Ancient China was created thousands of years ago.
This first lecture in the series explains what The Governing Principles of Ancient China actually is and how it came about. Simply put, it is a compilation of selected texts – 14 000 volumes in total – covering every aspect of life with the aim of creating a better world in future based on knowledge and wisdom from the past.
This lecture explains the enormity of the task of compiling The Governing Principles of Ancient China and why it is every leader’s (of a family, community, work and nation) most valuable resource.
The teachings stress morality and ethics over law and punishment and include works and thoughts from the schools of Confucianism, Mohism, Daoism, Legalism, Agriculturalism and the Military School.
All lectures are presented by Professor Yuli Liu, of the School of the Central Committee of C.P.C. She is an expert on The Governing Principles of Ancient China (TGPOAC).
