Reflection on the Recent Women’s Forum

On Saturday 7 March 2015, a group of 95 women representing Aboriginal elders, academics, teachers, health care workers, and faith representatives came together, along with some Afghan young ladies, to discuss issues related to Women, Family and Education.

They spoke with one voice about how women can help shape righteous attitudes, develop positive messages and raise awareness about the role of women in the community. It was not only about enrichment but also about inspiring women to take a lead role in the decision-making process on issues that involve the family.

The message: Women have a strong influence and capacity on promoting values and the spiritual and physical upbringing of the family.
